The intended users of this application are science fair administrators (fair admins) and judges. This application is not designed for direct use by children under the age of 13.

Data Collection and Responsibility: While our application allows project entries to include fields for students' names (last name not required), grade, and school, these fields are optional and not required for the functionality of the Service. Any collection of personally identifiable information of children under the age of 13 is conducted by fair admins. We advise fair admins to obtain appropriate parental consent and comply with applicable children's privacy laws, such as the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), when collecting such information.

Use and Sharing of Data: The information entered by fair admins is used solely for the purpose of managing and scoring science fair entries. We do not use this information for any other purpose nor share it with third parties, except as required by law or as necessary for the operation of the Service.

Data Security and Retention: ScienceFairTools is committed to protecting the privacy and security of all data entered into our system. We implement appropriate security measures and do not maintain backups or history of deleted data. Children’s information, as entered by fair admins, is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes of the science fair management.

Parental Rights: If you are a parent or guardian and you become aware that your child has personally identifiable information stored within the application, you may contact us to request access to, modification of, or deletion of this information.

Compliance and Notifications: ScienceFairTools strives to adhere to applicable laws and regulations related to children's privacy. We will take necessary steps to remove any information from our servers if we become aware of storing personal data from children under 13 without verified parental consent. Users will be notified of any significant changes to this policy.
